Five high school students were hurt in a fiery car crash in California. The accident took place early in the morning on a Saturday. Police said the crash occurred following an attempted traffic stop.

When police tried to stop the car, the driver reportedly fled the area. Emergency crews rescued the students from the motor vehicle and transported them to a medical center. The driver suffered major injuries in the wreck. The four car passengers, all girls, also suffered injuries but were later released from the medical center.
